dLAN® Cockpit is far more than just a status monitor for the powerline network: In its network display, the graphically appealing software shows the connection speed of all adapters in the dLAN® network. This allows the user to see immediately how fast the dLAN® data transmission is between the home office and the living room, for example. A dLAN® optimisation wizard gives tips for how to optimise the data transmission speed using easy measures that can be implemented quickly. Simultaneously, the dLAN® Cockpit is also used to configure the adapter‘s encryption. When devolo provides an update to help its adapters perform better, this update can now be carried out directly in the network. This represents a large gain in convenience, as this had previously been possible only for each device individually. In addition to individual configuration of an individual dLAN® adapter, network-wide configuration is also possible for the first time. In addition to the functional aspect, devolo invested a lot of development effort into the graphic design of the software interface. The objective was an intuitively operated interface that appeals to beginners as well as ambitious users and makes the comprehensive functionality of the program directly accessible.
