Sep 22, 2020 History of Pelles C In 1987-88 the author was working at a consulting firm in Sweden that also sold software written in BASIC for microcomputers. At that time IBM PCs began to take hold the market, so it was easier to convert the previous software than to write it from scratch.

Complete development kit with a C compiler, macro assembler, linker, resource compiler, and many other tools. Also includes an IDE with project management, visual resource editors, integrated debugger and integrated sampling profiler (X86 and X64).
Support for the more recent C standards C99 and C11. Support for most SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AES, AVX, and AVX2 intrinsics (X64 only). Support for extending the IDE through new project wizards and add-in modules (written in C, of course).
